Iconic Water Solutions to Design and Build Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant for Iluka Rare Earths Refinery

Comprehensive water and wastewater treatment infrastructure company Iconic Water Solutions (IWS) is pleased to have been awarded the contract to build, design and commission a permanent wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) for Iluka Resources’ rare earths refinery at Eneabba in Western Australia.

 

Managing up to 45,000 litres of wastewater per day, this treatment plant is a critical part of the refinery’s infrastructure. It will treat and dispose of sewage for the construction workforce of 900 personnel and operational workforce of 270 personnel, as well as support Iluka in its mission to be a safe, responsible and sustainable supplier of critical minerals. As specified, IWS will deliver a WWTP featuring two Train A20 Treatment Systems, external PE holding tanks, and a dedicated Sprayfield.
